STEVENS, Muriel
After a courageous battle with cancer, Muriel passed away peacefully at Henley House on Sunday August 3, 2008.
Once she had single handedly won the war, this British war bride journeyed to Canada to join her husband in 1946. Beloved wife and best friend to Art for 62 years. Loving mother to Maree Stasiak, Sharon (Peter) Rees, doting Gran and Nana to Tawnya (Marcus) Paura, Sandra (Jonah) Butovsky and Warren Rees. Blessed with four great grandchildren: Jacob, Aaron, Zoe and Hannah.
Following many years of her ministering to others as an RNA, Muriel and her family are thankful for the ministrations of the loving, supportive staff at Henley House for the care they so warmly provided.
Muriel†™s family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St in St. Catharines on Wednesday,August 6th from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John†™s Anglican Church, 80 Main St in Port Dalhousie on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 11:30 a.m.. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
