Obituary of Helen Isabel McKenzie

McKenzie, Helen - Passed away peacefully on July 28, 2008 at Tabor Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 11, 1914 in New Brunswick. Survived by her loving children Bertha Campbell (Jack) of Niagara Falls, N.Y; Sybil Freeman (Glenn) of Fonthill; Rennie (Alison); Margaret Turner (Doug); Fred (Jeannie); Donald all of St. Catharines and Brian (Cheryl) of Nova Scotia. Also survived by her 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law Beverly (late John 1999). Helen is predeceased by her husband Clarence (1976), granddaughter Sheila Smith and also 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mrs. McKenzie is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, until Thursday at 10:30am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7-9pm. A celebration of Helen's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11am. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or Sick Kid's Hospital.
