Obituary of Angelo Celetti

CELETTI, Angelo - Went into the arms of the Lord on Monday July 21, 2008 from the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Rosa Celetti for 60 years. Loving father to Annette (John) Inneo, Lucy (Greg) Ballentine and Michael (Tina). Beloved Nonno to Patrick (Ivanna), Andy (Angela Medici), Claire, Devon, Alexandra, Cameron, Olivia, Maya and Paige, and great-grandfather to James John . He will be sadly missed by siblings Joanne Damiano, Nicola (Emilia), Antonio, Josephine (Frank) Siconolfi and Gerarda in Italy. Angelo came to Canada with his wife and two daughters in 1957 and made his home here. He enjoyed spending time with his family, but when he was not with them, he could usually be found in his garden or in the midst of a friendly card game. He was a founding member of Club Roma and a Veteran of WWII. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday July 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from St. Alfred's Church on Friday July 25 at 9:30 a.m. with entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home at 3 p.m. If so desired, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
