Obituary of Mariantonia Calabrese

CALABRESE, Mariantonia (Mary) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Vincenzo (Vince). Loving mother of Filomena (John) DiStasi, Anna Marie (Mike) Stabile, Anthony (Wendy) Calabrese and Elena (Joe) Carlomusto. Cherished Nonna of Diana (Elias), Danny (Tammy), Rino, Natalie, Nicholas, Kristine, Carly, Joe Jr. and Eric. Mary is survived by her dear sister Maria Libera Stabile (Michele) of Italy, also by her great grandchildren Mary, Joanna, Angelica, Isabella and Ashton and by many nieces and nephews. Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 a.m.. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to Wellspring Niagara or the St. Catharines General Hospital Cancer Care Centre.
