Obituary of Douglas Bertram Steers

STEERS, DOUGLAS- Suddenly, at home on Monday, July 7th, 2008, at 70 years of age. Beloved husband of Henrietta (nee Gagne). Dear brother of Florence Lundy, George (Betty), Alan (Francis), David (Doreen), Carol (Sam) Travis, Sharon (Paul) Beauvais, Elaine (Perry) Burns. Brother in law of Claude (Dorothy) Gagne and Micheline (George) Wallace. Douglas will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brother William, his sister Edna Coles and his brother in law John Gagne. Douglas worked at H. and S. Heat Treating and General Motors. Douglas is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 7-9p.m. A Funeral service will take place on Friday at 11p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
