Obituary of Wilma Heus

Heus (nee Langelaan), Wilma (Willy) "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." Passed away peacefully at the age of 71 after a spirited battle with cancer at Hospice Niagara on June 24, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Ralph (1984), dear Mother of Marianne (Craig), Stephen (Debbie) and John (Paula), devoted Oma to Jessica, Steven, Tara, Nathan, Amanda, Cassandra and Mikey, Great Oma to Kayleigh. The oldest of nine, Willy will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Cathy Holdip, Maggie Graham and brothers Al, Nick, John, Neil, Harry and Ed. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and amazing friends and staff at Hospice Niagara for their exceptional care and compassion. Family will receive friends at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to Celebrate Willy's Life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers Willy and her family would appreciate donations to Hospice Niagara.
