Obituary of Albert Edward Houtby

HOUTBY, Albert Edward (AL)- Peacefully, at home on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in his 84th year. Devoted husband of Barbara for 63 years. Predeceased by his loving son Neil (2004). Cherished brother of Margaret (John) Livingston, Rena (Cameron, 2007) Robertson, Audrey (Ed) Ryan, and brother-in-law of Mary Reid, Connie (John) Brown, Valerie and Best Buddy and Right Hand Man Jack Irwin. Al was the conscientious owner and operator of Al Houtby's Garage in Port Dalhousie for 30 years, beginning in 1949. He had the first Datsun (Nissan) Dealership in St. Catharines. He will be greatly missed by so many loving and loyal friends made through his life. A special thank you to Dr. Sandra Hartman and the ParaMed. nurses Eleanor and Jill. In accordance with Al's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held in the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton, on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1 p.m..
