Obituary of Alec Garus

GARUS, Alec Suddenly at his home on Monday, June 2nd at the age of 55. Devoted husband of 29 years to Ingeborg and much loved and cherished father to Jordan and Christine. Cherished son to Bruno (Lee) Garus and Lydia, and son in law to Betty (Lavis) Chemerika. Also survived by his 5 sisters and his niece and nephew - Alicia and Anthony Biamonte. Predeceased by his sister in law Olivia. Al was a well respected business entrepreneur since 1972 where he owned and operated Garus Appliances. He enjoyed the simple things in life-being with his family and friends. Al's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, June 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. There will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Make a Wish Foundation or the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) would be appreciated by the family. He will be sorely missed by all whom he touched. and Nestor
