Obituary of Wayne King

KING, Wayne Douglas - Passed away at Chateau Gardens on Friday May 30th 2008 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of the late Marlene King. Loving father of Ricky (Brenda), Barbara Carmen, Deborah Bergevin, Brenda Rubeniuk, Christine (Guy) Gauthier, and Margaret (Mark) Simons. Wayne was very proud of his 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Chrished brother of the late Margaret Smith (2002), Dian (Rick) Cottrell, Mary (Al) Simmonds, Linda (Cam) Pallerin and Trish (Bruce) Upham. Wayne will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends. Wayne was a dedicated employee of Abitibi for over 35 years. Special thanks to the staff at Chateau Gardens, NOTL for the compassionate care that they gave to Wayne. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday June 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Tuesday June 3 at 1 p.m. in the George Darte Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart & Stroke foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
