In Loving Memory of Steve,
If roses grow in heaven Lord
Please pick me a bunch,
Place them in my brothers arms
And tell him their from me.
Tell him that I love him and miss him very much.
When he turns to smile place a kiss upon his cheek.
Then hold him for a while.
Because remembering him is easy,
I do it every day.
There is an ache in my heart
that will never go away.
Half of me is missing
the day God called you home
God Bless you Steve until we meet again.
With Love your twin sister Stella Fofano

School Bus Driver
Steve & I were attending Junior High in Elk Point, Alberta. Steve lived on a farm approximately 10 Kms west of Elk Point. Stan, our bus driver, was Steve's neighbor. Steve would work for him on the farm once in a while. When Stan delivered us to school, he would park his school bus behind the grocery store in Elh Point and return to the farm with his pick up. The teachers were planning a year end picnic at a creek site approx. 5 kms. from town. Steve decided that we should go down and check the place out to see if it was suitable for swimming. As we left the school at noon, we were walking down town and passed where the bus was parked. Steve said he knew where Stan hid the keys for the bus, and maybe we should "borrow" it to go and check out the creek. I was appointed his co-pilot because the bus was pretty darn long and he couldn't determine the exact location of the rear bumper inrelation to other obstacles. We did quite well until we got down by the creek and there wasn't enough room to turn the bus around!!
I don't know how long it took us but we were pretty darn worried that we would be stuck down there and Stan would be looking for his bus.
Needless to say we got it backed out of there, returned to town, and no one ever found out that the bus had taken an unexpected trip, courtesy of my old buddy.

Vic, Eileen, Lori, Maureen and Kids:
It is with great sadness that we are writing this. Steve was a warm hearted man who was willing to help with anything. You could always count on him to entertain you with a story or two, or three. Memories of Steve sitting on the front porch smoking his pipe, and welcoming you to his home with a big smile, will always live with us. He will be greatly missed. The world has lost one of the best. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Farewell our Friend.
We have only known you for a short time, but in that short space of time, you managed to carve a special place in our hearts. We don't know why - I guess it was just the type of guy you were.
We will miss you.
