Obituary of Nick Minniti

Minniti, Nick - Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday May 15 2008 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Louise (nee Violante). Devoted father of Renata, Marisa (Phil) Rocco, Monica, and Gemma. Nick's proudest moment was becoming the cherished Nonno of Anthony Rocco. Nick will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Joe (Caterina) and Frank (Lorraine) and his loving sister in law Carmela Pisano. Special uncle of Angela, Maria, Nick, Ralph, Tari, Anthony and Mark, Marlena and Sarah and their families. Nick is predeceased by his brother Antonio Pisano. Nick will be missed by his many friends. He is now in the company of his close friends Dr. Borsi, Antonio Lettieri, Giovanni Sorgente and Joe Vergalito. Nick's happiest moments were when he was surrounded by his family and friends enjoying fine wine, good food and great music. He was a man of integrity who provided guidance and encouragement when needed. He left us a legacy of living life to the fullest. Special thanks to Dr. J. Paolone, Dr. A. Ditor, Dr. S. Kim and Dr. S. Hartman. The family gratefully appreciated the efforts of ER, Progressive Care and Mills 4 of the St. Catharines General Hospital. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Sunday May 18 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday May 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from St. Alfred's Church on Tuesday May 20 at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Palliative Niagara. Nick left his mark in this world: La Dolce Vita. Salute!
