I first met Tom over 30 years ago when he came to our shop to fabricate the intricate
copper roofs on 2 forty foot high castle turrets.
You can see Tom†™s talented copper works, displayed on the fa§ade in the front foyer of the original Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario
Tom†™s workmanship will be there for all to see for decades to come.
We all have many fond memories of Tom …
I recall the day, at the Royal Halifax Yacht Club,
when to my surprise †œRayador†
( see Rayador @ http://nautilus-36-pilothouse.blogspot.com/ )
was docked in the next slip, with Tom & Sandra
on their homeward bound voyage from the Bahamas.
During our search of Halifax fish markets for halibut,
Tom revealed, that Sandra†™s †œGlowing Radiance† was actually the anticipation of their first child (Lynsey).
Upon returning to their boat with a successful †œcatch†, Tom baked the most wonderful
halibut steaks for us three in the oven on board Rayador.
A great feast, with great company.
Thank you Tom and Sandra.

Regretably, my wife and I are out of the province and were deeply saddened with the news of Tommy's passing. I can honestly say that I have two memories that will never go away. Tom's generosity gave me the opportunity to enjoy my very first deer hunting trip by lending me his shotgun. A guy never forgets his first hunting trip. Secondly, to this day, I still tell people the greatest vacation of my life was the week Jeff Anderson and myself spent on the boat in the Bahamas. Your hospitality and generosity will always be unmatched. Sandra, Lynsey, Theresa, Tom, Ellen, Larry & Debbie, on behalf of Monique and myself, please accept our sincere condolences.

Dear Lynsey, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Having lost my Dad (Ashley's grandpa) on April 10th, I know the emotional moments will come & go, but there is comfort in the memories. After reading your Dad's write up (so beautifully written) he really lived his life to the fullest & I hope you will find strength in remembering how much he enjoyed his life. Your Dad sounds like an amazing man. May God be with you and your family during this time & grant you peace. Love Ashley's mom, Donna (Greg & Tiffany) Finnie

THANK YOU TOM, For all the memories:
Living beside you on East-West Line in the 70's, hanging out together, going out together, teaching us so much, being in our wedding party, being "Godfather" to our son Ivan, the trip to the Bahamas, the vacations at our cottage, the many nights hanging out at your house, the dinners, the wine, the laughs.....and so much more. "WE DON'T REMEMBER DAYS, WE REMEMBER MOMENTS".
Our thoughts are with you Sandra, Lynsey, Theresa.

Dear Lynsey and Theresa,
Your dad helped me out many times in my life - when I needed help the most. He was always there for me - when there was no one else. Without his help I would have never made it through many tough times.
The least that I can do is return the favour. I am donating $1000.00 (500.00 each) to your education funds.
I wish you both all the best in life. May your dreams come true and may you both succeed in your chosen fields of study - using the same (inherited) determination that your father had to overcome any/all obstacles that life confronts you with.
Yours truly, John Fredette
