Obituary of Kathleen Blakely

BLAKELY, KATHLEEN (Moir) - Suddenly at home on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at 75 years of age. Cherished wife for 53 years to Ian. Beloved mother of Sandra (Mario) Di Maria, and Susan (Mark) Henry. Kathleen will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Matthew and Kristyn Di Maria and Andrew Henry. Kathleen was a graduate of Mack School of Nursing, class of 1953. She worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital until 1977. Kathleen was an active member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church and long time volunteer at Hotel Dieu Hospital and until recently with the NHS-Ontario Street. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Catharines General Hospital- New Cancer Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
