Obituary of Ellen Ruth Short

Short, Ellen Ruth Peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Catharines General Hospital. Ellen Short passed in her 63rd year. Loving mother of Andrew (Cheryl) and Tony (Tonya), Grandmother to Alex, John, and Jessie. Sister to Doreen (Dave), Betty (John), Eva (Gerry), and Agnes (Tim). Predeceased by her sister Ann and her Parents George and Annie. Aunt to Gerry, Ron, Allison, Ian, Ryan, Adam, Michael, James, Colleen, and Will. Sister in law to Carol Short and Donald Cormier. Dear friend to Alice, Donna, and Linda. Ellen was a volunteer for many community organizations and a 28 year member of the Port Dalhousie Lioness Club. Cremation has taken place. A Rite of Committal will be held for those who wish to attend at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 (Time to be announced). A reception will be held immediately following at the Port Dalhousie Lions Club. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Nagai, the Home Care nurses, the dialysis unit, the staff at St. Catharines General Hospital, and Msgr. Wayne Kirkpatrick.
