Obituary of Roman Hirniak

Hirniak, RomanAt the Ina Grafton Home on Friday March 14, 2008 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Brigida and loving father of Terry and wife Ruth Hirniak, Michael and wife Lisa Hirniak. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Peter, Terry Jr.,Michael Lee and wife Khanisa, Karl and wife Connie, Nicholas, and Christopher and great grandfather of Cole, Clayton, Kasey and Kaleb. Dear brother of Maria of Ukraine. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Franka Hirniak, brother Evhen and his sister Laura. Mr. Hirniak was an employee of GM for 30 years, a long standing member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, member of the Ukrainian Legion, Canadian League for Ukraine's Liberation and the Ukrainian Canadian Social Inc. of Canada. Special thanks to the nurses and staff and "Bailey" at Ina Grafton Gage. Roman's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Divine Liturgy will be held in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church on Monday March 17, 2008 at 10 am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be said at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 pm.
