Obituary of Rita Marie Hill

HILL, Rita Marie - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 8, 2008 in her 46th year, at the St. Catherines General Hospital. Rita is survived and deeply mourned by her partner Warren Sutherland, mother of Andrew James (AJ) and Crystal, Survived by her sister, Pam (Hill) Brown (Jim) of Welland, her brothers, David Hill of Toronto, Bruce Hill (Madilyn) of Oshawa, Bob Hill (Nancy) of St. Catharines, Wes Playford(Jody) of Calgary and Ray Playford of Welland. Nieces and Nephews: Christina (Jason), Sherry (Jeffrey) and Cindy, Shaun, Joshua, David, Bobby, Darcy, and Mathew. Great Nieces and Nephews: Jersey, Reree, and Akaysha. Predeceased by her infant child Christopher, her loving parents Denise Gilliam and Bruce Edward Hill Senior, her brother Scott Hill and niece Tina Devost. Although she left us too soon, we will never forget our loving sister, mother and partner. We trust that she is already enjoying her time in Glory! We will all miss her inner strength and her funky sense humour right to the end. Rita was an exceptional and proud employee of the Welland Avenue Car Wash, for 29 years and she will be greatly missed by all, especially Pat and Libro as no one can do windows like her (smile). A Memorial Service to celebrate Rita's life will be at The George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 6p.m. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 4 - 6pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the St. Catharines General Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A special thanks and gratitude to the Medical Staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care and kindness shown to the Hill family in their time of need.
