Obituary of Raymond William Thomas
Thomas, Raymond William ( P. Eng. Hnrs. B.A.)With great sorrow, the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Saturday March 1, 2008 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital- NHS in his 78th year. Loving husband of 53 years to Barbara and much loved father and father-in-law to Graham and Linda, Julie and John, Jim Humphries and Donna Brotherston. Devoted grandfather to Shelbie, Ron, Tyler, Kevin, Alana, Richard, Jimmy, Marianne, Nikki, April and great grandson Carter. He was predeceased by his daughter Kim Humphries (1992) and his grandson Johnny Carr (1985). Raymond was employed with the Ontario Ministry of Labour retiring in 1995. He then continued his education at Brock University graduating with distingtion in Political Science and Economics. He was a dedicated and devoted member of the St. James Anglican Church. Raymond's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday March 4, 2008 from 9 am. until 11 am. A celebration of Raymond's life will then follow in the chapel at 11 am. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired memorial donations may be made to Rygiel Homes- 930 Upper Paridise Rd. Unit 11, Hamilton ON. L9B 2N1.
