Obituary of John Thacker

A man well loved, a life well lived. THACKER, John- It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of John Thacker announces his passing on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Irene, for 44 loving years. Cherished father of Margaret Hardington, Joanne Goerz, and Elaine Inglis. Brother to Barbara Cherish. Granddad to Jessica, Christopher, Benjamine and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents Ben and Edith. A special thank you to the staff at Shaver Hospital for all their care and compassion. In accordance with John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of John's life will be held in the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, February 29, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by John's family.
