Obituary of Bohdan Krynycky
Krynycky, Bohdan (Bob) On Sunday January 13, 2008. Bohdan Krynycky peacefully passed away at Linhaven Nursing home in his 85th year with his family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Anna (1999) of 49 years. Survived by his daughter Oksanna (Daniel) and son Walter (Eleanor). Loving Dido of Adrianna (Mike), Nicholas, Andrew, Katie and Mathew. Also survived by his sister Marijka and nieces and nephews in Ukraine and brother Roy (Bessie) of British Columbia. Dear uncle of Doug, Rob, Kathy and Sandra. Mr. Krynycky was born in Ukraine and settled in Canada in 1951. He was an active member of the Ukrainian community: member of the Brotherhood of Veterans of the First Ukrainian Division of the Ukrainian National Army, member of the Ukrainian League of Canadians (St. Catharines Branch), member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, member of the Ukrainian Black Sea Hall, and a member of the Ukrainian Senior Citizens Club Myrhorod. Mr. Krynycky was an employee of General Motors and retired in 1983. He will be remembered for his deep love of family, pride in the Ukrainian heritage and eternal faith in God. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday January 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday January 17 at 10:00 a.m. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. If so desired, donations to the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Building Fund or the Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
