Obituary of Giuseppe Catella

Catella, Giuseppe (Joe) Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on January 3, 2008 in his 91st year. Predeceased by his wife Ida (2002), loving father of Anna and (Pietro) Marzialle of Italy, Laura and (James) Kirkpatrick, Vito and (Rae) Catella, the late Mark and Brenda Catella. Cherished grandfather of Lorenzino, Tina and (Jim), Mariella and (Mirko), Angela, Joey, Kimberly, Shawn, Krista, Mark and Victoria. Proud Svi nonno of Lorenzo, Julia and Eric. He will be sadly missed by his sister Rosa Adante of Toronto and sister-in-law Rosa Salvatori and many nieces and nephews. Joe proudly served in WWII and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1966. Joe was a member of St. Alfred's Parish. Joe is resting at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Joe will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. Memorial Remembrances can be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank Niagara Arms Retirement home for their wonderful care.
