Obituary of Pauline Mary Longpre
LONGPRE, Pauline (nee Turgeon)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on Saturday, December 29th at Henley House in her 83rd year.
Predeceased by her cherished husband George and her son Rodger.
Dear mother of Virginia (Roger) Martin of St. Catharines, Gordon of Prince George B.C., Kenneth, Gary, and Debbie (Vic) all of St. Catharines, and David (Wendy) of Pembroke. Loving Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mom is predeceased by her 23 brothers and sisters- the Turgeon family- from Astorville, Ontario. Mom was a devoted employee for 35 years at the Hotel Dieu Hospital.
Mom is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Thursday, January 3rd at 9:30am. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. Vigil prayers for mom will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday, January 2nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
