Obituary of Ellwood Hawthorn

HAWTHORN, Geoffrey Ellwood At Extendicare Nursing Home, on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Audrey and cherished father of Gary (Mary Anna) of North Vancouver, Deen (Paul) Teague of St. Catharines, and Suzanne Hawthorn of Thorold. Grandpa will be missed by grandchildren Signy, Kirsta, Stefan, Dylan and Aubrie Teague, Scott and Bradley Hawthorn, Beth Studer and Joshua Dempsey, and six great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Bonnie Alguire of Cornwall and his brother Joe (Gloria) of Waterloo. He served his country in World War II, #424 Tiger Cats, Hamilton Squadron as a Flying officer-a pilot. Mr. Hawthorn's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date with cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
