COONS, Glen Eugene
It is with great sadness that the family of Glen Coons announces his death on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Ross Memorial Hospital, in Lindsay. Glen was in his 88th year, having marked his 87th birthday on September 10, 2010 with his family by his side. Glen was a Veteran of WWII and a long time employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Glen will be forever missed by his daughter Denise Koss and his grandchildren Tara (Carl) Buckley, Lisa (Aaron) Peel, Matthew and Leah Koss. Also survived by his great grandchildren Jordan, Tyler and Cole Buckley, Kira and Aiden Peel. Glenn will be forever in the hearts and minds of his dear friend and travelling companion Kris Sharma as well as his loyal friend Roy Culp. Funeral arrangements entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. At Glen's request there will be no visitation. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of choice.
