Obituary of Maria Kapsiak

Kapsiak, Maria (nee Kochowiec)- After a long courageous struggle, Maria peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus, with her family vigil by her side throughout the past week. Beloved wife of the late Marian Kapsiak (1995). Maria was unconditionally loved and cared for by her daughter Danita (Joseph) Harb. Nana to Jeremy (Patricia), Lilly, Sandra and Lindy. Cherished great grandmother to Marina Katarina, Tanios Joseph, Elena Maria and Jimmy-Charbel. Special aunt to Raisa (Ron) Taylor and their children Ryan and Rhonda (Rhonda's children Jack and Sam), and Victor Kochowiec. Also survived by Donna and daughter Tammy Goddard and her children Victoria, Christina and Alexandra. Predeceased by her nephew Walter Kochowiec. Maria's selfless personality, generosity and unconditional loved will never be forgotten and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Raymond Harb, Dr. Lindy Harb ND and the nursing staff on the third floor at the St. Catharines General Hospital for all their compassion and kindness. Also to Fr. Goodwin for his spiritual guidance and his emotional support. Mrs. Kapsiak is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St., until Monday at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11 .a.m. Entombment to take place in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and from 7 - 9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited on Sunday at 3 p.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy made to the Women's Place, would be appreciated by the family.
