Dear Lyndall and family,
May God's Peace help you carry on with the good memories of Bob. Over many decades at Acres, our paths crossed on many Hydro projects in Canada, Africa and the East. Excellence and integrity were always evident in Bob's engineering work and in leaving a good legacy for the family. God bless you all.

Lyndall, Andrew and Simon,
Its been a terrible blow to hear about your husband/father. But how stoic he was when going through it. He would call about HR issues, or retirement parties or lobster fest, and never ever complained. He always was cheerful and good natured. That sort of inner strength is rare indeed.
My heart is heavy with sorrow, and I extend my deepest sympathies to you all.

Dear Lyndall,
(This may been a repeat email). I have been out of the country, and just picked up the email informing of Bob's passing. You have my most sincere condolences. I enjoyed working with Bob on numerous projects over the years. As we both know, there are no guarantees in life, nor is it always particularly fair. You helped me greatly with Halley after Betty died so many years ago, even if you may have thought it wasn't very much at the time. I only wish I could do the same for you. My thoughts are with you.

Lyndall - We are so sorry to hear that Bob has lost his battle, he seemed so hopeful that he would pull through. We have memories of comparing notes with you on how our families were growing up. I have my memories of travelling to Iran with a small project group that included Bob some 22 years ago, difficult times since Iran was still at war with Iraq. I recall we would start our day by perusing the breakfast menu and noting that it offered caviar. Every day, we would ask for the caviar. Every day, we would be told that there was no caviar. All this had to be said without betraying any sense of humour at the situation.
I am sure you have many good memories of your time together, and hope that they help you deal with your loss.
Best Wishes
John and Jeanne

Lyndall:
So very sad to hear of Bobs passing.
I had the privilege of working closely with Bob in my early days at Acres and learned so much from him. He was famously steady and professional in all things and a true gentleman to be looked up to.
He will be missed as a colleague and friend.

Lyndall, Andrew and Simon,
It was with great sadness the we heard of the passing of Bob. As you know, I worked very closely with Bob on my arrival to Niagara in 1986 on Mactaquac and Karun III. Bob was an inspiration and a mentor as well as a friend. His kind and gentle way of dealing with his coworkers and his subtle sense of humour was always appreciated and I loved to see you both at the Christmas parties and were always very appreciative of Bob and your interest in our children. I know that Bob loved you, his boys and his grandchildren greatly and that you will all miss him dearly.
I will miss Bob.
Love and heartfelt condolences to your family. We will pray for Bob.

Dear Lyndall, Simon, Andrew and families,
We were saddened to hear of Bob's passing and had prayed for all of you in his final days. We will remember him fondly and Ever is forever grateful that Bob always made him feel welcome and showed genuine interest in his adjustment to and growth in Canada. May he rest peacefully. [When Curtis learned of "Grandpa Bob's" passing, he prayed to the angels that evening at bedtime and said, "I hope that you will keep Willow and Lily's grandpa happy in Heaven with you."]
In sympathy,
Katherine, Ever and Curtis
