Obituary of Mary Pierog

PIEROG MARY Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the St Catharines General Hospital, at 96 years of age. Beloved wife of the late John for 50 years. Loving mother of Stanley (Stella) and Walter (Henrietta). Cherished Babcia of Nancy (Ted) Przybyl), Christopher (Beata), Janet (Vern) Sisson, David and Annetta Gutzman. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her 12 great grandchildren. Mary worked at Meatland, the family business, she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and was very active in the Polish Community in her younger years. Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, at 11am. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7pm, Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
