Obituary of Alphonsus Joseph McAndrews

McANDREWS, Alphonsus Peacefully on October 19,2007 at Linhaven Home for the Aged with his loving family by his side, in his 86th year. Predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (2004). Dear father of Maureen (Paul) Moccio, Rosanne Young, Michael (Gigi), Stacy (Pam), Mary (Jamie) Rolston. Loved Grandpa of Jeff (Dodi) Moccio, Julie Young, Cindy Moccio, Isaac McAndrews and Grace (Brandon) Hedden, Barrie and Loni McAndrews, Ruthanne (Will) Dunster, Pamela ,Christian,Jonathon ,Sara and Matthew Rolston. Dearest great grandfather of Emily and Isabella Moccio, August and Landen Dunster, Charity Hedden and Logan Rolston. Predeceased by grand-daughter Mary Elizabeth Young .He is survived by one sister and one brother. Alphonse's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, October 23rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from Cathedral of St. Catharine of Alexandria, 67 Church Street on Wednesday, October 24th at 10am. Rite of Committal Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers for Alphonsus will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
