Obituary of Robert Grant Doucette

DOUCETTE, Robert "Rob" It is with much sadness that we announce Rob's passing at home, with his family by his side after a 5 month battle with lung cancer at the age of 60.He is predeceased by his father Ed (1960), his brother Arnie (1979) and his mother Mary (1982). He leaves behind his loving wife Di of 40 years, sons Ed (Lisa) and Dave (Christina) as well as his 4 month old grandson Owen. He will be sorely missed by sister in law Elsa Doucette and her children, as well as Di's family: brother Bob Meunier, sisters Lola Muzyka, Suzanne Bland, Louise Rivett, Lorraine Sills and Lise Suelzle and their families in addition to his special granddog Sadie.Rob's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 18th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place on Friday, October 19th at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. In accordance to his wishes, cremation will follow the service with an inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rankin Cancer Run would be appreciated by Rob and his family.
