It is with great sadness that his family announces the sudden passing of Dennis Bigford in his 59th year on Saturday October 13th, 2007. Adoring husband and best friend of 37 years to Candi. Proud and loving father of Shannon (Gabert) and Cameron (Stella), and ever faithful dog Madison.Dennis will be greatly missed by good friend and brother-in-law Gord and Louise Rivett and father-in-law Gord Rivett Sr. Dear brother of Wayne, Marilyn (Jack) Wilcox, Geraldine (Mike) Gretzinger, and their families. Devoted cousin of the Brisbois and Bigford†™s. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Wanda Bigford. Dennis will be greatly missed by his close circle of friends, especially Don and Sue Baker, Ed and Marianne Szaszi, Jim and Pat Powell. Those who knew Dennis knew a man of charisma, honour, truth and dedication. Dennis†™ love of family was evident in his home and yard where he happily spent countless hours. Dennis was a proud and active member of the St. Catharines Rowing Alumni and a licensed umpire with Rowing Canada Avrion. He was also an avid supporter and volunteer for the St. Catharines Recreational Rowing league.Dennis will be truly missed by all who knew him. Dennis's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. A celebration of Dennis's life will be held in the chapel Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired memorial donations may be made to the New St. Catharines General Hosptial Fund or the Rankin Cancer Run.
