Obituary of Feliks Spera

Spera, Feliks With great sadness we announce the passing of Feliks Spera on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at St. Catharines General Hospital at 83 years of age. Husband of the late Teresa. Loving father of Donna, Krystyna (Sergio) Spedaliere, Edward (Lisa Elliott), loving grandpa of Carmine and Teresa, dear brother of Walter (Ingrid) Spera and Staczek Spera. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews in Canada and his family in Poland. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and companion Sophie Bednarowski and his many friends in the various organizations he belonged to. Mr. Spera was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, a longtime member of the Canadian Polish Society and the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Branch 418. He will be remembered most for his love of dancing and socializing. Mr. Spera is resting at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Mr. Spera will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. Memorial Remembrances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Lung Association.
