Obituary of Dora Emily Stephens
STEPHENS, Dora (nee Buckley)
Passed away peacefully and while surrounded by her loving daughters at Hospice Niagara on Wednesday, October 3rd in her 87th year.
Cherished mother to Leslie-Ann (Larry) Boles and Robin (Mark) Bowman. Beloved grandmother to Stephen and Colin Bunting and Emily and Cory Bowman. Blessed great grandmother to Jonathan, Nicholas, Christopher, Jacob, Noah and Harmony. Longtime friend to Sophie Hughes and the late Margaret Hubbard. Predeceased by her first husband Arthur Arsennek, her husband of 33 years Ernest Stephens, her son John Browning and daughter Kim French.
Dora was an employee of Towers Department store for over 30 years and an associate member of the First Special Service Force.
Dora's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, October 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6th at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.
