Obituary of Albert Ryding
RYDING ALBERT - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing
of Albert, after a brief illness, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday September 29, 2010 in his 96th year.
Beloved husband of the late Betty (Miller) 1959 and the late Margaret (Hegyi) 2004.
Loved father of James and Robert (Diane) Ryding. Cherished grandfather of Krystyn Ryding, Rebecca (Michael) Mongelluzzo, Lawrence, Jason and Arthur Galasso and Rachel Ryding. Great grandfather of Marissa and Adam. Dear brother of Sylvia McLean, brother in law of Margaret (Peggy) Hegyi. Dear Uncle of Michael Hegyi, Sandy and Darryl. Predeceased by his daughter Shirley and sister Helena. Mr. Ryding was a Veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Navy. He was employed as a supervisor with Conroy Manufacturing and retired from the Ministry of the Attorney General. He was a life member of the Perfection Lodge 616GRC; Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24; RCNA; and the St. Catharines Old Boy's Lacrosse Association.
Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. At Mr. Ryding's request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
