Obituary of James Henry Harper

HARPER, James Henry "Jim" Passed away peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the age of 87. Beloved husband for over 40 years of Josephine Flowers. Loving father of Joanne Harper (Wally), Lorraine Harper, Jimmy Harper (Rhonda), Ted (Glynis) Harper, Albert Harper (Naomi) and Rodney (Shirley) Flowers. Jim is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters and brothers. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow service. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to the B.M.E. Church.
