Obituary of Petra VanSchouwen

VanSchouwen, Petra On Tuesday, June 16, 2009 after a short illness, Petra passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS at the age of 80. Predeceased by her husband Bram (1978). Beloved mother of Lenny and Allan Dwyer, Adrian and Bonnie, and John and Yolande. Dear Oma of Sean (Alicia), Jason, Bryan, Carly and Jasmine. She will be remembered by sister Aag Wobma and brother Gijs (Flora) Fokker, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews , all of Holland. She will also be missed by members of the klaverjas card club with whom she played for many years. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Petra's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, June 20th from 12:30-1:15pm. At Petra's request a simple memorial service to celebrate her life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
