Obituary of Walter Francis Smith

SMITH, Walter Francis- Walter Francis Smith 72, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the St. Catharines General Hospital after being admitted following suffering a stroke. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Sophia and Anton Smith and a brother, John. He is survived by his sister, Agnes (Bob) Harris, brother Michael (Florence) Edmonton Alta, Joseph (Sylvia), Niagara Falls, N.Y. Sister- in-law Sophie Smith of St. Catharines, and many nieces and nephews. Walter lives on as an organ donor. In keeping with Walter's wishes there will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL where a rite of cremation, for family only, will be held. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St. on Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 10a.m. with interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Please remember Walter in your own private way and wish him well on his new journey.
