Obituary of Joan Margaret Bland

BLAND, Joan Margaret Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, May 25, 2009, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 62. Predeceased by her husband Gary Sr. (2004). Loving mother of Beverly (Michael) Sewell, Gary (Bobbi) Bland and Jennifer (Karl) Le Grand. Cherished Nana of Jessica, Rebecca, Ryan, Sarah, Joshua, Cameron and Cole. A special thank you to Joan's dear friend Maggie Davidson for all of her love and support during such a difficult time. Joan is survived by her extended family and friends. In accordance with Joan's wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Joan's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 4 p.m. Visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
