Obituary of Reginald Lenard Grossi
GROSSI, Reginald Sr.
Peacefully surrounded by his family, Reginald passed away in his home on Friday, May 22, 2009, in his 81st year, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Mary (nee Vendromin). Loving father of Reg (Dianne), Leonard (Lauri) and Joseph. Cherished Gramps of Darryl (Stephanie), Mathew (Jennifer), Jennifer (Mike) and Sarah (Brad), and great grandfather (Papa) of Gage, Lillie and Jack.
Reginald is survived by his brothers Paul (Jean), Tony (Anne), Pat (Rose), and by his sisters Agnes (the late Marino) and Angie (the late Jim), and also by many nieces and nephews. Reginald was very passionate about the art of plastering. He was happiest working on the work site where he mentored many a young apprentice. Reginald was also a devout parishioner and Usher at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria and of St. Alfred's Church. Reginald will be missed by his family and friends, especially by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Grossi's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will take place Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Home Parenteral Nutrition Program or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
