Obituary of Bernice Katharine Barron

BARRON, Bernice ("Bonnie") nee Pawlik - Passed away on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 45. Beloved wife of Robert. Cherished mother of Jason. Precious daughter of Stella and the late Brownie Pawlik . Loving sister and best friend of Cindy (Peter) Cwiertniewski. Dear daughter in law of Natalie and the late Walter Barron. Much loved sister in law of Chris (Ron) Nemcko, Richard (Christine) Barron and Anna Barron. Bonnie will be missed by her nieces and nephews Jenn, Michael (Allison), Cassie, Michael, Matthew and Kalina. She will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bonnie is the CEO of Cataract Savings and Credit Union. She was a former teacher at Sir Wilfred Laurier Credit Granting School and a director of the Children†™s Safety Village in Welland and a director of Credit Union Professional Association. Bonnie was a very active soccer and hockey mom and is a member of the Star of the Sea Parish. Bonnie is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 7-9p.m. and Sunday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers will take place on Saturday evening at 7:30p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church on Monday at 11a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or the proposed Walker Family Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
