Obituary of Herbert William Millar

MILLAR, Herbert "Herb" Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 20, 2009, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Shirley for 55 years. Loving father of Naomi (Lou) Geense, Rob (Katy), Heather (Rob) Earle and Pamela. Cherished grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren (soon to be seven). Herb is also survived by his brothers James "Mac" and Harry. Predeceased by his sister Ruth and brother Gerry and by his parents Gerald and Marion. A special thank you to the in home nursing care provided by Barb and Sharon, as well as staff and volunteers at McNally House. In accordance with Mr. Millar's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McNally House or to the charity of one's choice.
