Obituary of Erich Letkemann

Letkemann, Erich H: It is with deepest sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of Eric, in his 83rd year on April 2, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was dear husband and best friend of Odetta. Loving father of Cathy (Bruce) Hutchinson, Ann Marie (Donnie) Ritchie, step father of Sandra (Bob) Nemcko, Kathi (Don) Rogers, Terri (Jeff) Neudorf, and Donnie (Linda) McInnes. Cherished grandpa of 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Eric is survived by brothers Ernest (Lettie), Harry (Betty), and Arno (Charlottle), and sister in law Kaye. Predeceased by brother George. Special thanks to Peter Mentz RN, for his compassionate care. Eric retired from Bell Canada after more than 33 years of service and from a second career in real estate as an associate broker for more than 21 years. George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Letkemann. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call on Saturday, April 4, 2009, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A private memorial service will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
