Obituary of Helen Loretta Clutterbuck
Clutterbuck, Helen Loretta (Phelan) - July 22, 1924 †" February 21, 2009 It is with great sadness that we let our mother go, but with joy knowing she is now with our father and sister. She was the heart and soul of our family. The only labour she endured was the love she passed to all of her twelve children, twenty-six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She reached out to help her community through St. Vincent de Paul and the Catholic Women's League of St. Mary of Assumption Parish in Western Hill. Mom's spirit will live on for generations to come. She leaves behind her children and their families. Monsignor Leo of St. Alfred's Parish, Joe (Anne) of Australia, Rodney of Hamilton, Catherine, Helen (Peter) Schleich, Harry (Jody) of St. Catharines, Mary whom she joins in heaven, George (Christine) of Burlington, Jessie (Jim Helmkay), Ada (Rick) Storin, John (Jacqueline) and Loretta all of St. Catharines.
Mrs. Clutterbuck's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday February 22nd, from 7-9pm and Monday, February 23rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption, Roman Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent on Tuesday, February 24th at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers for Mrs. Clutterbuck will be offered on Monday at 7:30pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family.
