Obituary of Mark Alan Sawatsky

SAWATSKY, Mark "Louie" Suddenly at his home on Saturday, February 14th at the age 50. Much loved father of Austin and Megan and cherished son of Alvina (the late Abe). Dear brother of Karen (George) Friesen and Gord (Christine) and loved uncle of Geoff, Melissa, Debra, Stewart, Rachel, Jason, Carly and Kelsey. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be remembered by Karyne and her family. "Louie" was a longtime employee of Niagara Glass and had a great love of all sport. Mark's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, February 19th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place on Friday, February 20th at Grace Mennonite Church, 677 Niagara Street at 11am. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service. If desired, memorial donations to the Kiwanis Club, Optimist Club or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
