Obituary of Gary Roberts

ROBERTS, Gary Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Niagara on Saturday, February 14th. Beloved husband of Helen; loving father of Craig (Maria) Roberts -NOTL; Nancy (Luis) Duarte -Strathroy and Heather (Mark) Ruzylo. Devoted Papa of Max, Tess, Lucas, Abby, Emma, Fraser, Amanda and Madison. Dear brother of Isabel Rankin-Hamilton. Predeceased by his sisters Rita, Theresa and Maureen and brothers Arthur and Warren. Brother-in-law of Doris (Macklem) Sherman-Ancaster. Gary will always be remembered for the great pride he had for his family, his sense of humour and his strong work ethic. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Hospice Niagara; Dr. P. Hughes; Oncology Department; Medical Day Care nurses; CCAC and ParaMed nurses and staff for providing the best possible care options available to Gary during his illness. To Dr. T. Prince, Dr. M. Porter and Dr. P. Wasi (McMaster Medical Centre), thank you for all your professional advice, compassion and integrity. Gary's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, February 17th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 18th at 11am. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the SCGH-Future Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
