Obituary of Mary Avedesian

Avedesian, Mary (Maritza)- Passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the age of 86, joining her beloved husband John (1994). Loving mother of Michael (Heather) of Montreal and Vincent (Charleen) of St. Catharines. Special grandmother to Michael, Paul (1993), Anne Marie, Christopher, Jeffrey and Jonathan and great grandmother to Luke, Matthison, and Robert. Mary is survived by her sister in-law Susie Dardarian and her brother in-law Reg (Alice) Avedesian as well as her nieces and nephews Pauline Dardarian, Paul Dardarian, Patty Istanboulian, Mark Dardarian, Cathy Fogg, Diane Curtas and Mark Avedesian. Predeceased by her brother Jack Dardarian (2003) and by her niece Arlene Titizian (2008). She was an active member of the Armenian Relief Society and Armenian Community Centre for over 60 years and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving nature with family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 31st 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Armenian Relief Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
