Obituary of Walter Jim Berezuk

Berezuk, Walter Jim (Turk): Suddenly on Sunday January 25, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Barbara for more that 60 years. Loving father of Lydia Ann Michowicz (Rick), and Anthony Joseph (Dayle). Cherished grandpa of Nicholas Michowicz. He is survived by brother Maurice and his wife Helen. Walter a logtime member of St. Julia's Parish, and was an usher for 25 years, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br # 17, in Thorold. George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, have been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Berezuk. Friends may call on Tuesday January 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and the Legion service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Julia's Church. In keeping with his wishes cremation will follow the mass. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the poppy fund of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 17.
