Obituary of Martin Cesar

CESAR, Martin- Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Friday January 2nd, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Margaret for 49 years. Cherished father of Emil (Darlene), Frank, Paula (David) Rittenberg. Special Ati of Eric, Amanda, Angela, Derek, Benjamin, Aidan and Jordan. Brother of Janez and Joze of Slovenia. Predeceased by his sisters Francka and Johanna and his brothers Ludvik and Frank. Martin immigrated to Canada in 1951. He worked in the lumber mills in Northern Ontario and then moved to St Catharines. Martin worked at General Motors for 34 years. He retired in 1988 but continued to be very active around his home and garden. A special thank you to Dr. H. Kim, Dr. Rabin and Dr. Luce for their care and attention. Martin is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers will take place on Sunday at 7p.m. in the funeral home. A private family Funeral Service will be celebrated. Memorial donations to St. Catharines General Hospital- New Building Fund or HHT Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
