Obituary of George Rushton

RUSHTON, George- Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday December 18th 2008 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late June. Cherished father of George (Joyce) Rushton, June Daniels and Webb (Linda) Rushton .Predeceased by his son Scott. Loving Papa of Christopher and Ryan Daniels, Kristen, Lindsay, Holly and Corey Rushton, Scott and Jessica Rushton. Special great grandfather of Nova, Brigid, Cheyenne, Kayden and Quinn. He will be missed by his brothers Allen and Scott and their families. George was a proud World War II Veteran in the Canadian Navy. He was a member of the Local 736 Iron Workers and a member of the Port Dalhousie Royal Canadian Legion since 1945.George is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
