Obituary of Major William Boone

BOONE, Major William "Bill" On Friday December 5, 2008 in his 83rd year, Bill passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS. He will be sadly missed by all who met him especially his family. Beloved husband of Gladys for more than 53 years, loving father of Christine (Paul) Wood of Sherwood Park, Alberta and David (Sandra) Boone of St. Catharines. Proud grandfather of Ian, Stephanie, Matthew and David. Dear brother of Roy, Ralph and Lucretia. Bill is now in the safe arms of his Lord and Savior whom he served for many years. Major Boone's arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 400 Niagara St., St. Catharines. Funeral Service will be held at the Salvation Army on Tuesday, December 9th at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances can be made to The Salvation Army St. Catharines Corps Building Fund.
