Dear Viscek Family
My heart goes out to you all for your loss. My foundest and earliest memories of my childhood include Stric Lado and your Family. My memories of going to the the cottage at Rock Point, Lake Erie. All the families getting together, pig roasts, fishing, bochi ball, swimming and just having fun. Picking grapes on the farm or building barns at all the Slovenian families. As a kid I always watched Stric Lado doing his woodwork and still today have him to thank for the hobby I much enjoy, I still remember the smell of the Export A's in his shop. I remember when he was building your home on Third Street, I was about ten or eleven, Stric Lado got me up on the main floor of the house and showed me and let me nail down the sub floor, he drew a line and away I went. I remember Stric Lado telling me at breakfast at the cottage, excited because we were going out on the boat fishing "you better eat Allen or the fish won't bite". As a kid we always liked to go to the Viscek's, we grew older and had our own Families - I will always remember you Stric Lado and I am very thankful I knew you as I did. You left your mark everywhere around Niagara, the Barns standing, your friends family rooms, my Mom's cutting board, the beautiful vineyards you loved, etc, etc.
Love Always
Allen Gacnik and Family
