When I heard that Lou had died it felt like a piece of me was removed. All the years I worked with Lou and saw him later downtown here or at the market was like coming home week. His family was such a joy to him and we always talked about Pat, Denis and their kids and when I had Lesley of course I would get the interrogation about what she was up to. I will miss him so much but I know my life has been enriched because I knew him.

We are saddened to hear of Lou's passing and wish we were nearby to come and pay our respects. Although I have not seen Lou for several years, as a child he was at many a family get together that I was at and I have many memories. Once I got over the sense I had that he was a very serious fellow, I enjoyed talking to him since he always had something interesting to say. Also, as a child I recall being envious of the Cahill kids because their poppa was coming to take them on another outing, my grandparents were overseas in Ireland and I wished they were a little closer. As the saying goes, `they don't make them like that anymore..." Lou will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Cahill's passing. A very gracious gentleman who along with my Aunt Gladys researched the Young family roots in Ireland. I am thankful to him for sending photos and remembrances of my mother Viola's family. We only met on a few occasions, but family was always the main topic of conversation. You will certainly miss him, but what a wonderful legacy he has left.
